Well, we have been learning about matter (that can be solid, liquid or gas), materials (that are made with different types of matter)... And how we use them...
... Let's use one example from this class... The blackboard ... What can we say about the characteristics of the blackboard? (type of matter, type of material, properties of that material...)
- Type of matter: The blackboard is solid matter.
- Type of material: The blackboard is made of slate and metal.
- Properties: The properties of metal: It is hard and strong. Slate is strong too and it is black... It provides a good surface to write on it.
... Now... I have a problem... Imagine that I have to move this blackboard our of the class because it is not useful anymore... What can I use to do that?
I need to use force... Oh, really? Yes... I have to use force... But what type of force can I use what types of forces are there? Well we have contact and non-contact forces... This next video gives you a good explanation about them:
